A Simple Act of Kindness
Bob Graham
A tender ode to small kindnesses, and a tribute to the power of noticing, by internationally renowned creator Bob Graham.
One Sunday morning, a church bell chimes. People bustle along wet streets, caught up in their own lives. A man watches from a bus, and on the busy footpath outside the fogged windows a small act of kindness will be seen only by him.
With seven CBCA Picture Book of the Year awards to his name as well as a Carnegie Medal for Illustration, much loved author–illustrator Bob Graham celebrates the simple joy of a kind act and the moments that spark imagination.
A Simple Act of Kindness encourages readers – young and old – to pause, look around at the world and delight in the tender moments unfolding in our midst, from the creator of Rose Meets Mr Wintergarten, Greetings from Sandy Beach and How to Heal a Broken Wing.
And as the freezing winter takes hold and it seems all hope is lost, only something miraculous will save them.
A gorgeous and heartwarming picture book about love, commitment and discovery from an outstanding creative team: Sofie Laguna, acclaimed author of When You’re Older, and Jess Racklyeft, award-winning illustrator of Iceberg.
