Living Democracy: An ecological manifesto for the end of the world as we know it
What if it were possible for us to not just survive, but thrive, in the 21st century?
Extinction is in the air. There is a mounting sense of desperation in the face of the ecological crisis, rising authoritarianism, increasingly obscene economic inequality and racial injustice, the backlash against progress in civil rights, and the arrival of a post-truth politics absolutely divorced from reality. Across the community, people are searching for hope, seeking answers, looking for a way forward, and finding precious little on offer from contemporary politics.
But what if the solutions to our ecological, social and political crises could all be found in the same approach?
In Living Democracy Green Institute Executive Director Tim Hollo will convince you that, although it’s definitely the end of the world as we know it, it doesn’t have to be the end of the world! In fact, around the world, people and communities are already beginning the journey.
