Match Fit
Leesa Ronald
A sparkling, globetrotting romcom about rugby, romance and finding a new game plan – from the author whose previous novel has just been optioned by Justin Trudeau’s new production company!
Ruby Carpenter is fine. Sure, AI has stolen all the best jobs, her fiancé is behaving like a moody grouch, and she’s starting a temp role working for Australian Rugby – a sport she knows nothing about – but overall, she’s happy. Great, even!
That is, until her relationship implodes and Ruby’s left all but homeless with a job she never wanted in the first place.
She needs to get her life back on track, but the glamorous world of international rugby is very distracting. And the English captain, Jake Lavender? He’s the most distracting of all.
However, as Jake and Ruby continue to cross paths on the glittering world tour, the lines between ‘real life’ and ‘temporary life’ begin to blur.
Ruby starts to wonder: has the life she planned been holding her back from the life she wants? Because maybe when life doesn’t go to plan, that’s when the real magic happens.
