Nico and the Wild Waters

Sarah Laing

Fast-paced, funny graphic novel about a boy on a dangerous quest through troubled waters, and the surprising friendships he makes along the way.

Nico lives on a boat in a harbour with his nan, and when she becomes very sick, he must go in search of help for her.

Along the way he has to fight off sea monsters, get through the chaotic port and avoid capture by the rebels who are fighting for water, land and freedom.

When he finally gets back to the boat with medication, he finds that Nan has disappeared!

Where can she be and how will she survive the dangers? How will Nico navigate his way through this complex world and find her?

Set in a post-climate-change environment this witty, upbeat graphic novel is brimming with quirky characters and stunning full-colour illustrations.
