Tears, Laughter, Champagne: A Story of Friendship Forged through Fire and Food

Karen Downing

From tea and tears to champagne and laughter, nine women recount their fifteen year journey following the 2003 Canberra bushfires – with the recipes that helped along the way.

“Something rather wonderful and beautiful … stories of friendship and generosity and sharing, and building something that is bigger than the constituent parts of the people involved.”

- Annabel Crabb, journalist, commentator and television host
