CSIRO Publishing has an internationally recognised, editorially independent books program publishing titles for academic, professional, trade and children’s audiences. We cover a wide range of subject areas including agriculture, aquatic science, the plant and animal sciences, chemistry, environmental science and natural history.
We produce around 35 new books each year, and maintain a backlist of over 600 titles, each aimed at fostering a lifelong passion for science and supports professional decision making. Our adult non-fiction list highlights the wonders of our natural world, the professional and academic books capture outcomes of science for a better future, and the children’s program ignites curiosity and fosters imagination.
As well as books, we publish 31 peer-reviewed journals in animal, physical and plant sciences, health, agriculture and the natural environment.
